Control of Gold Nano Dimer Structure with DNA Origami Molds

DNA origami is a method to create nanostructures by DNA. We use DNA origami structures as molds in order to produce gold nano dimer inside. This mold method can control the shape, gap size and direction of binding of gold nano dimer. Enhanced electric field between the gap of dimer can be used for molecular analysis with surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS).

  • Single molecular analysis with SERS
  • DNA sequencing with SERS
