Microfluidic device for separation of DNA origami nanoparticles using dielectrophoresis

[Applications]

DNA origami is a key technology in the field of structural DNA nanotechnology to fold DNA into a variety of 2D/3D desired structures via self assembly. When we make DNA origami or DNA origami complexes, there are a lot of excess reactants remain in addition to the successfully fabricated DNA nanostructures. Standard method (Gel electrophoresis) for the removal of excess reactants has several problems. To overcome problems, microfluidic device which separate DNA origami and other nanoparticles by using Dielectrophoresis(DEP) is proposed for the separation of DNA origami complexes and excess reactants.
