Selective fixation of DNA origami on Si substrate

DNA origami is expected to be a versatile building block to arrange nanomaterials such as metal nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes with 6nm resolution. A novel integration method of DNA origami into MEMS utilizing single-strand DNA(ssDNA) is demonstrated. To realize this, AFM based lithography was used to make pattern modified with ssDNA on the Si substrate. A DNA origami with ssDNA wasuccessfully fixed on a predetermined position on the substrate by hybridization of ssDNA.
