MEMS Reservoir Computing

Physical reservoir computing (PRC), which utilizes nonlinear physical dynamics as a computational resource, has been attracting attention, and it is expected to reduce network load by having PRC-implemented devices perform information processing. In this study, we have fabricated a resonant accelerometer with a nonlinear MEMS resonator and evaluated by numerical simulations whether it is possible to recognize human actions by directly adding acceleration signals associated with human actions to the sensor.
