The MicRO-Alliance is an academic alliance between the departments active in nano and microtechnology of the Universities of Kyoto, of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and of Freiburg. It was founded in 2004 and has promoted the exchange of scientists among the partners and held an annual scientific workshop.
