After synthesized, DO(DNA Origami) solution contains tons of single-stranded DNA, mis-folded DO as well as well-folded ones. Up to this point the purification process has been carried out with gel-electrophoresis, which requires somewhat tedious and time-consuming steps. Currently I am trying the purification with a recently suggested microfluidic structure called ANA(Anisotropic Nanopillar Array), which features a sized-based separation of molecules with nano-meter precision. If realized, the microfluidic system is expected to provide efficient purification process for its instant, continuous and well-controlled processing performance.
